Pokémon GO: Vancouver Meet Up!

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all been catching a lot of Pokémon this week! Unfortunately, we have some bad news for our upcoming meetup. This was originally intended as a small gathering for friends, but it seems to have exponentially gained traction to encompass everyone across the Lower Mainland. This is a great sign for future events, but for a crowd this size we would need to obtain special event permits from both the City of Vancouver and Stanley Park, and we were not able to do so given such a short timeframe. This is not a decision we take lightly, but due to these circumstances we are cancelling the meetup scheduled at Stanley Park on July 23rd. In light of this, we still encourage everyone to go and enjoy the Celebration of Light fireworks at English Bay at 10:00pm. There will be an official Pokémon themed after-party hosted by Venue later that night (19+) The Nite Show ~ Pokémon Go Go GO! till 3:00am. With that being said, please join our Facebook group at "Pokémon Go - Vancouver" for updates on local events/meet ups. Events promoted on the group will have proceeds going towards the BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
