SISTER SPIT is San Francisco's legendary, raucous, rowdy queer and feminist literary and spoken word performance gang, and they're returning to Vancouver!
Now under the umbrella of Michelle Tea's RADAR Productions, Sister Spit's punk rock roots still show. The original team in the '90s banded together to form an alternative to the misogyny-soaked poetry open mics popular in the era, and became the first all-girl poetry roadshow.
In its new incarnation, Sister Spit: The Next Generation welcomes artists of all genders as long as feminism, queerness, humour, and provocation are front and centre in their work.
