Friends For Life's Ice Bucket Challenge and ALS Awareness Evening!

I have now been nominated several times to do the ALS Bucket Challenge. What many of you may not know is that The Vancouver Friends For Life Society provides wellness programming, assistance and care to those who are living with ALS (along with HIV/AIDS, cancer, cystic fibrosis and Hep C). So, on Friday August 29th we are going to "dip our toe" into the Ice Bucket Challenge and will be having an event featuring LOTS of chilly wet fun! Come and see members of our community get bucketed ! Organize a group of your friends to sponsor you to be ice bucketed at the event! You can also sponsor me( Joan-e Edwards who will be there in full drag) to get a full measure of icy cold realness! You can also buy a burger or hot dog. All food has been donated by our friends at The Junction and is being prepared by our partners at The Dogwood Monarchist Society. All proceeds that day will be donated to Friends For Life and The ALS Society of BC. Most importantly we will be sharing information about an illnesses that we hope will be helpful and informative.
