2010 Scotiabank AIDS WALK for LIFE - Vancouver

Living with HIV/AIDS is not a death sentence, its a battle. Its a battle that doesnt need to be fought alone. Support, passion and love can make a difference, and 25 years ago the BC Persons with AIDS Society launched the first Canadian AIDS WALK to prove it. Since then they have been walking strong. They have been walking for a change. They have been walking for life. As of 2006 HIV/AIDS affected some 58,000 Canadians - 12,000 of whom live in BC. Events such as the Scotiabank AIDS WALK for LIFE spread awareness throughout the community and raise vital funds for those living with HIV and AIDS. But, the battle is on-going. Today, as we go into our 25th year, we have set our sights high because we know something can be done. To do this, we need your involvement.
